Balika Vadhu was Sania Mirza’s favorite TV show. So much so that she would look for a website that would broadcast the series wherever she went, even at Wimbledon! Sania mentioned it on her podcast with Neha Dhupia.

“It was (Balika Vadhu) a beautiful show,” she said. “And my sister was like, ‘Are you going to sit at Wimbledon and watch this?’ Over the past few years, I lost interest, but my mom was watching. As a result, whenever I visited my mom, I had to sit down and watch the show. So at one point I got mesmerized and thought to myself, accha, ab kya ho raha hai. And on the phone, I would ask questions like “Mamma uska kya hua hua anandi?” “Am I hitting you like the saas bahu type?” Yet I am! But that time is over and I’ve moved on to more interesting things like Suits. According to DNA.

Sania Mirza is currently living a bubble life. She must quarantine herself for her next matches. Sania played her last game on October 7 with her partner Zhang Shuai.
