As the Pakistani team revel in one victory after another, Hafeez almost missed a celebration

Pakistan’s victory over Afghanistan in the Super 12 Group 2 match on Friday lifted them from tournament hopeful status to top contender for the 2021 T20 World Cup championship.
But as the team reveled in one victory after another, there was a celebration for cricketer Mohammad Hafeez who nearly missed out.
Shortly after beating the Black Caps and celebrating the team, Hafeez celebrated his wife’s birthday with friends and family in Sharjah.
The versatile forgot to get the birthday cake and it was Sania Mirza who arranged it in time for his wife.
Indian tennis star Sania is married to Shoaib Malik, Hafeez’s teammate and former Pakistani skipper.
Hafeez took to social media to share photos from his wife’s birthday party and thanked Sania Mirza for helping him with the birthday cake.
“Happy birthday to my wife @ naziahafeez8, I forgot but thanks to the rescue angel @MirzaSania for arranging the birthday cake on time (sic),” Hafeeez wrote on social media.
