PARIS: Former world number one in men’s tennis Roger Federer lost four more places in the latest ATP ranking on Monday to 15th place after leaving the top 10 last week.
The 40-year-old Swiss has a right knee injury and has not played since a humiliating quarter-final loss to Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz at Wimbledon on July 7.
While Federer falls, the Italian Jannik Sinner, who takes two places thanks to his success in Antwerp on Sunday, wins his fourth title of the season, ranks 11th in his career.
Indian Wells champion Cameron Norrie also reached the career-high ranking, with the Briton advancing two more places to 14.
Novak Djokovic leads the standings far ahead of Russian Daniil Medvedev.
